Selective Scriptural Interpretation #1

Conservative Bible interpreters say they believe in reading the Bible literally, yet when it comes to reading the treasure trove of texts that deal with the wealthy, they turn as “liberal” in how they read those money texts as the most pro-homosexual Biblical interpreter reads those texts which seem to plainly view homosexual behavior in a negative light.  I know, I know:  Two wrongs don’t make a right, but let’s all at least admit there’s myriad ways to interpret these ancient texts, and no one is doing it in a purely literal sense.  And, I might add, we as a church body might give one another quite a bit more latitude in our various interpretations if we’d all just admit this fact.
